My Favorite Anime

In this post I want to talk about my the show I gave 10/10, to me this mean that I love a show so much to the point I will watch it again. Actually all of these shows I have watched twice by now and I would do it again gladly. of course this list would hopefully grow so I may either update it or just create a part 2 if I had many more. At first I intended to review each one of them on its own but I just decided to put them all in one post because I will always recommend these shows to anyone really, so here we go:

Black Lagoon

Black Lagoon is actually the first "old" Anime I have ever watched, and I have watched many more after and yet to see a show that lived up to it in its category. So it is a modern realistic action show, basically it is all about guns, mobsters and killers. You would think there would be other anime with this idea and style, but I yet to see such a good show that stayed grounded and did not rely on fantasy or sci fi, this show has the vibe of 90s action movies like Die Hard. Also part of what makes it special is that it has the most badass women protagonists in all of anime, will the ones I watched.

it is three parts, the first one is nice but they spend a bit too much setting up the characters but in season 2 is when they go into giving out stories in form of Arcs and the show shines then. the third part is the OVAs after season 2 and it offers an amazing Arc for one of the characters as will as some form of an ending to the show

• Watch if you want a Serious Modern Action

• It discusses Dark topics

• I recommend to watch in English dub, because the cast are supposed to be international rather than Japanese and in the dub they actually have accents

Claymore

This also one of my absolute favorite, what makes it special is that is a regular medieval fantasy, you would think there is a lot of those but realy other than this and Berserk there isn't really any classic medieval fantasy. it is very reminiscent of the Witcher franchise in terms of how the MC is a mercenary created by humans to fight monsters as will as how the world is dark and gritty. The story itself is not that dark but it is serious and has some shocking moments.

• Watch if you want Medieval Fantasy Action

• The Art style is a bit dated but it is not to the point of annoyance

• I personally watched both English and Japanese Dub and they are both good

• It starts a bit slow but try to wait tell around the 7 episode where they set the real premise of the show

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

This is the most beloved Anime out there, the reason why in my opinion is because this show offered many things and delivered on all of them, it's an Action, it's an Adventure, it's a Romance, it has a unique world, it has amazing characters, it offers serious story, it has a great ending, etc... But to me personally the reason why I love this show is that they didn't ignore a single character, no matter how small a character is they just don't drop it like other shonen shows do. All the characters got some form of closure at the end.

As fo the Original Fullmetal Alchemist, will it did not age very will and the story starts the same but later they had to get creative because the Manga was not done at the time, so they ended up being darker and did not really work will with the original direction. So only watch brotherhood imo it follows the Manga and how the story should really be.

• It is a must watch even for people who do not like anime

• The show covers multitude of genres and topics

• I recommend watching it in English dub because the MCs did not sound that good in the Japanese version and the English cast did a great job

Kimi ni Todoke

The reason this is my favorite Shoujo show is first, even though it follows her relation with the main guy, it is not about that, it is actually about her relation with everyone around her as will as how she tries to fulfil her goals.

Secondly the MC of this show is the purest thing ever! My god does it melt your heart how positive and pure she is, and I like how other characters start treating her nice naturally and gradually as will.

It has 2 seasons the first one is perfect to me, but the second one felt as an OVA mostly, like only the last three episodes had real meaning to the story and characters, the others were episodics and random stories.

• Watch if you want a heartwarming Shoujo story

• Even though it discuss bullying and emotional topics a bit, the show is incredibly positive and pure

Angel Beats!

This is an incredible comedy, and also a really dark and sad show. Somehow they were able to mingle these two opposite feelings together in a way that you will cry and laugh at the same time.

Its an Original show so it had a bit of a rushed ending, but it is incredibly satisfying even though it did not include all the characters but the main ones.

• I highly recommend it if you want a comedy but be ready for sadness as will

Durarara!!

The show is a modern fantasy but tries to remain realistic as much as it can, so there is only a couple of fantasy elements. This show is in a weird place for me, it is slow and a bit daunting, but really enjoyable in some aspects. Firstly this show doesn't have an MC, all the cast are the main characters. Each episode focuses on a different group if the cast, and they are all pretty interesting in their own way. It is an action/drama but it is enjoyable for how unique it is. It is 4 seasons but the show has a good ending for the first season but they kept going for no reason and literally the end of the fourth season is the same as the first so you can just watch the first and be done with it

• Watch if you want a unique modern action fantasy

• The English dub is really good because they have accents for non Japanese characters

• The first season is enough but if you really wanted more of the characters you can watch the others but they are not as good as the first

Usagi Drop

This is another pure heartwarming show, I loved it for how real it is and yet how adorable it is, it is a show about adorable kid and a guy trying to deal with parenthood.

• Highly recommended if you want a chill and adorable show

• Note: just don't read what happens after the show, the creator wanted to have a simple ending like the anime but got pushed around to do more so they got pitty

Shokugeki no Souma

This is an incredibly fun show, they took the Shonen format and applied it onto food and cooking, and it just works. It is incredibly funny and exciting to watch. It has multiple seasons with each covering different Arc style story lines, but to me the first was the best and a must watch even if you don't continue the others

• Watch if you want a fun exciting show, but note that it has some Ecchii moments

• Just prepare to get hungry because the food looks incredible

Ore Monogatari!!

This is one of my favorite Shoujo shows, what is cool about this show is they took the side character friend of the hot male guy and made him the MC, and also that the girl is an adorable idiot rather than you normal shojo lead. So basically it is the love story of the quirky side characters, it is funny adorable and emotional

• Watch if you want a fun, adorable and quirky Shoujo show

Koe no Katachi

For me I never really got into Anime movies, other than of course the things related to already established Anime because those are basically longer episodes. But this one was it for me, they were able to deliver this emotional story and reach heartwarming conclusion without that feeling of being rushed, even though there is some characters that get brushed off but they are side characters that did not contribute much. And yeah that's the problem of Anime movies they need to skip some parts of the manga, just for me this was able to deliver

• Watch if you want a heart warming and emotional story with grewat animation

• If you have the time go read the manga first but know it will be mostly for the side stories

Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou

This is a guilty favorite type of thing. It took the Harem, Ecchii, Comedy but all the girls are half animals, and I mean literally half, the idea is so stupid yet it worked. Also I like it because even though it is a brainless comedy, they do mature jokes too.

• Watch if you want a mature yet immature show

• it is very NSFW so keep in mind

Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu

I would like not to talk alot about this show, I just recommend it to everyone.

• Watch if you want a fantasy Isekai physiological show

Bungou Stray Dogs

This is a show that I watched and was seriously shocked when I was on the last episode, that's how much it grabbed my intention and how entraining it is. It is something like X men with some people having abilities, but their abilities are really out there and unpredictable, so part of the fun is guessing and understanding each abilities and powers, also it has cool action scenes and fights. At the moment it has two seasons and a movie, the first season is incredible overall but the second is better in terms of actions and fights, the movie of course is better in the action than both but it has a movie budget so that makes sense.

• Watch if you want super hero fantasy action show

• It has incredible and creative characters as will as good action pieces

Violet Evergarden

This is the best looking Anime ever(Unless you count Final Fantasy XV movie is an anime, but that thing is too much), so yeah that what you will find about this show, it looks amazing! but for me it I love it because of the emotions in it, that persona trying to learn about emotion through her job and the different situations she got through really hits you

• Watch if you want an emotional Episodic show

• again it looks amazing

Mahoutsukai no Yome

I like this show because of how unique it is, how even though it is a bit chill and slice of life, experiencing the world and seeing how she starts to adapt to her new world is very will done. Another thing I like about this show is that they give all the characters a background and a story.

• Watch if you want a unique fantasy show

• it is abit dark so keep in mind

Comic Girls

For me this is the best slice of life show, because even it gives this chill feeling, it delivers on smaller stories of the characters. ALso the girls are too adorable too and funny, another thing is that even it is a cute show it is mature and have sense of trying to relate with grown ups in a way

• Watch if you want a chill adorable show

This is it for this post, I was planing to write a review for each of them individually but it took too long and I just felt no need to spend a whole post for each of them, I just recommend these shows you have to experience them. I am going through a dry patch now and there is no awesome shows on the horizon but I will try to update this post if I 10ed a new show or maybe create another one if I had multiple somehow.
